Join our Championship Band as a Registered Playing Member

We are always interested in confidential enquiries from experienced brass band and percussion players who would like to register to play with us in contests. If you're interested in playing with the band in this way please get in touch.

As a registered player in a Chmpionship Section contesting band you will need to be able to make a valuable contribution to a band accustomed to competing at this high level and attend our twice weekley rehearsals and those additional sessions determined by the MD.

Please be aware that becoming a registered playing member is by invitation and you may be asked to undertake an audition or sit in on a few reharsals before an offer of a permanenet position is made.

Registered players must meet the requirements set out by the Brass Band Players Registry or the specifc rules determined by the contests we enter. Registered players make a regular charitable contribution to the running of the band and to meet their individual costs in participating in the band's activities.

Become a Supporter

If you'd like to support the band we'd love to hear from you. We have a number of volunteers without whose support we could not operate as a band. Volunteers include librarians, stage crew and van drivers, and of course fundraisers. We're keen to hear from individuals who'd like to volunteer and have skills in PR and Media as well as in event management.
