Tongwynlais concludes summer season with performance at the Senedd

The band was honoured to conclude its summer concert season last Thursday with a special performance at the Senedd, marking the Welsh Government’s ‘Year of Wales and Japan’ initiative. The event, generously hosted by Julie Morgan MS, featured musical highlights from the band’s recent tour of Japan and celebrated the impactful work of Taith in promoting international exchange.

This prestigious occasion followed a well-received appearance at the Pershore Festival or Brass earlier in July, where the band delivered a vibrant 45-minute programme in the stunning setting of Pershore Abbey, and a June performance  at the popular Sunday afternoon bandstand concert series at Bedwellty Park.

With two more weeks of rehearsals ahead, the band now looks forward to its summer social on 26th July before taking a well-earned break throughout August.
